The
PTFE by its properties, is used in a great
number of applications. Some of these properties can be
improved and/or be modified by means of the opportune additives
aggregate, allowing applications non-admitted for the virgin
PTFE. The same one with overhead is known like
laded PTFE.
The used overheads are the following ones: fiber glass,
coal of coke, bronze and graphite in dust, these solidly
related to the P.T.F.E.. For some
applications loads are used like: Metallic Disulfuro
of molybdenum, dusts, ceramic asbestos, metallic oxide
and also mixtures of two or more of the mentioned
types previously.
The
aggregate of loads improves or modifies the following
properties, in percentage that depend on the nature
and amount of the same ones:

Increases remarkably the resistance to the wearing
down
•
Decreases the deformation under load
•
Decreases the thermal expansion
•
Some types of load increases thermal and electrical
conductibility
